Here's what we are up to meow!
Operation Cat Connect
Are you a veteran in need of a furry friend?
Operation Cat Connect is here to help! We’ve partnered with the Lucas County Veterans Service Commission to match cats in need of a loving home with veterans looking for companionship.
Reading with Cats Program
Looking for an enjoyable activity with your children that does not cost anything? Look no further than our Reading with Cats program. Your children get to practice reading out loud in a relaxing and safe atmosphere, and the cats get extra socialization by the tiny humans. We have a large collection of books, most donated by Read for Literacy. No appointment is needed, but one can be made. You are welcome to come in during our open hours, Tuesday through Sunday 12 pm until 4 pm. All children must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Please email Sheltermanager@pawsandwhiskers.org with any questions.
The Forever Family Program
Giving you peace of mind, by giving your cats a forever home. What will happen to your cats after you are gone? Many people worry about what will happen to their cats when they pass or are no longer able to care for them. The Forever Family Program provides for the long-term, permanent care of your cats when you are no longer able to care for them. Forever Family is one of the best and simplest ways to plan ahead for your cats!
Please email director@pawsandwhiskers.org with any questions.
The Senior to Senior Program
The Senior to Senior Program is for people 60 and over who live independently and who’s finances don’t quite stretch for pet ownership. The Senior Citizen can come to the shelter and select a senior cat for long term fostering. PAWS provides all the food, litter, supplies, medications, veterinary care and they receive unconditional cat love! Please give us a call to schedule an appointment 419-536-1914.
