This is My Story:
I've been in the Cosmetic Industry for the past 19 years working for some of the most prestigious companies in the business. Currently, and for the past 6 years as a Make-up Artist and Business Manager for Laura Mercier Cosmetics in Ann Arbor, MI. Prior to that I was Jacobson's resident make-up artist for Paula Dorf Cosmetics, worked at the Somerset Collection for Mac Cosmetics and represented Estee Lauder at Nordstrom's in Los Angeles, Ca. I was also the assistant manager for I Natural Cosmetics in Beverly Hills Ca. Working on my Art Degree inspired me to write a non-fiction book about a Woman's Shelter. I am currently working on a collection of stories inspired by a kitten rescued by my daughter who we named Alley. I’ve had a website built (www.alleysays.com) that plays off the stories and sells Adult and Children's t-shirts with positive messages that "Alley Says" we all can use. I'm donating a portion of the proceeds to Paws and Whisker's to help cats and kittens not as lucky (so far) as Alley. I have two wonderful children. Jenna, a nurse at Ohio State University has rescued 8 cats so far and counting. She is the true cat rescuer! My son Brooks Howard is attending Colorado State in Denver working on his degree in Business Management and minor in Economics. My spouse Tim and I are empty nesters with two cat's named Alley and Lulu. My goal is to create awareness among young people on the importance of taking care of cats, and the responsibilities that come with owning a cat. My mission in life," every cat at the shelter deserves a happy and loving home".
